Office hours on the radon page are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding holidays. The county's main address, 202 West Third Street, is a different building and is not the kit counter. The page links Air Chek for a short-term kit and Radonova for a long-term kit. Those online prices are not the $5 office price.

The page says Kane County is in EPA Zone 1 and that the IEMA radon dashboard shows an average Kane County home result of 4.6 pCi/L. It does not list a Geneva pickup.

Chisago County Public Health offers short-term radon kits at no charge to community members, at North Branch and Center City, when kits are available.

Washington County offers free short-term radon kits to residents at listed service centers and environmental centers.

Pick up a kit during operating hours at a service center or environmental center named on the county page. Stillwater Government Center, Public Health and Environment, Room 4600, is also on that list. We do not have a street address for that Stillwater desk, so it is not pinned.

Cottage Grove hours are the service center hours on the Cottage Grove facility page. The Forest Lake facility page says hours vary by department, so that office has no hours line. Environmental center hours are the hours printed next to those centers on the county page. Environmental centers: 651-275-7475. Public Health and Environment appointments: 651-430-6655. County main number on the facility pages: 651-430-6000. Cottage Grove and the Forest Lake service center are listed with their street addresses. City of Minneapolis radon kits

Due to high demand, Minneapolis is no longer taking requests for free radon kits. The city page points you to low-cost kits you can buy online.

Who it is for. The paused offer was for Minneapolis residents.

The city is not taking free-kit requests. It says low-cost kits can be purchased online. No current city price is listed.

Do not travel for a city kit right now. Read the city page, then use a state or county option if you still need a test.

The city page says it was last updated on August 26, 2026. Health Department phone 612-673-2301. Public Service Building, 505 Fourth Ave. S., Room 520, Minneapolis, MN 55415. That address is a department contact, not a kit pickup while requests are paused.
